Brief
Re-brand an existing range of organic products and implement a new product launch.
Execution
A new concept was devised for the packaging and point of sale to convey the premium nature of the product. The look and feel of the packaging was reflected in the trade press campaign and the point of sale.
Outcome
Year on year increase in sales of the Tarantella brand.
Client
Middlesbrough Football Club
Brief
To create and implement a strategy for the execution of the Season Card Campaign 2010-11 for supporters.
Execution
The project required a message to existing season card holders and a different message to lapsed customers. hpmgroup produced a personalised brochure, using our new digital press, to raise awareness of the campaign to existing supporters, along with various other printed literature to support the campaign. A digital e-brochure was also created to raise awareness of the campaign via the mfc.co.uk website. An e-marketing campaign was used to target lapsed customers, again personalised within the email to increase awareness of the campaign.
Outcome
The campaign was launched in earnest with praise received from fans delighted with the personalisation element of the brochure.
Client
Middlesbrough Council.
Brief
To support and promote the visit of HM Endeavour to Middlehaven dock.
Execution
A series of photo opportunity events were devised in order to attract maximum press coverage, both locally and nationally. Not only was the project a successful media event, hpmgroup were required to work in close partnership with a number of government organisations and the Council, with respect to the actual mooring of the ship in a safe and visible site.
Outcome
A successful media campaign attracting tourism visitors to the event.
Client
County Durham Drugs and Alcohol Action Team
Brief
County Durham Drug and Alcohol Action Team commissioned a body of work from photographer Adrian Clarke, to chronicle a series of case studies and images of people in the North East who have been associated with, or involved in the drugs culture. The results of the work impressed the DAAT to the extent that they then part funded the production of a book.
Execution
The purpose of the book was to tell the hard and difficult stories of several individuals. Because of the strength of the imagery and the need to create an impact, Adrian Clarke needed a design which emphasised the graphic nature of the stories.
Outcome
The book has received critical accliam, not least of which from Baroness Helena Kennedy. As a reult of the PR activity, The Guardian ran a feature in their ‘Weekend’ magazine, and there have been numerous articles in national and local press.

Durham University – So Much More!
Brief
To promote Durham University’s involvement within the North East community.
Execution
The campaign was targeted at staff, students and the local community to raise awareness of the University’s involvement within the community, its economic regeneration and its support of local tourism.
Outcome
The campaign has had a huge impact in the North East and has greatly enhanced the perception of Durham and the University.
Challenge
Create and launch campaign brand to raise general awareness of the University’s involvement within the community, its economic regeneration and its support of local tourism.
Solution
hpmgroup created the “So Much More” campaign as a result of Durham University’s request. The campaign allowed hpmgroup to exert creative design influences over the Durham University brand. It is the first time the University has allowed any partner to create a campaign brand and deviate from the University’s core colour palette, yet still retaining the corporate identity of the University.

Challenge
Create a campaign aimed at encouraging students at Durham University to sign up to the National Organ Donor Register. The focus for the campaign was Oli (a friend of the University Chancellor Bill Bryson), a young man waiting for organ donation.
Solution
A logo was created in the style of a tattoo, to show the permanence of a lifelong commitment to the Register. In the press campaign, the wings of the logo were used on images of students going about their daily lives, to imply that these donors are “guardian angels”, willing to commit to helping others. The campaign was rolled out into posters, leaflets, t-shirts and a promotional video which runs on the dedicated website.

Challenge
Design, create and launch brand new service for the young people of County Durham centred on drug & alcohol issues
Solution
Launch of new service called 4Real – County Durham’s Young People’s Drug & Alcohol Service. The new service is aimed at providing real help and advice for young people within the area. The launch process included giving the service an identity, a new logo, presentation packs for launch event, management of the event and a new website, ready to launch March 2010 – www.4realcountydurham.co.uk
