When you ask people to think of an image which reminds them of Middlesbrough, more often than not the response will be The Transporter Bridge. The award winning structure was opened to the public in 1911 and has achieved worldwide fame thanks to a series of Auf Wiedersehen Pet.
Out of the twenty Transporter Bridges that were built originally only 11 still exist and unlike the Boro bridge many of them are not operational. So when the bridge reached the 100 years milestone what better way to mark it than with a book: The Transporter - 100 years of The Tees Transporter Bridge.
Like The Transporter Bridge hmpgroup has stood the test of time, having already celebrated our centenary we understood what a special occasion it is, so when we were approached to ask if we could design and print the book we were more than happy to help.
The Transporter Bridge remains an iconic landmark within the North East, the production of the book safeguards the bridges rich heritage, so as future generations walk the in the footsteps of their ancestors they understand the significance of the Transporter bridge, and here at hpmgroup we are proud to have played a part in that.
